The Double Ds

Pink Tulip

Two of the enemy’s greatest tools are Discord & Disbelief.  If the enemy can get us to walk out of unity, in discord, then he is able to break a part  many marriages, friendships, and other relationships.  Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 states that “two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor.  For if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to lift him up.  Furthermore, if two lie down together they keep warm, but how can one be warm alone?  And if one can overpower him who is alone, two can resist him. A cord of three strands is not quickly torn apart.”  Therefore, the enemy knows that if he can get us to stand alone out of the umbrella of Christ or divided with people who will lift us up, encourage us, or even pray with us, he has a great chance to defeat us.  The enemy roams around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour, keyword may.  The choice is ours.  The enemy wants us to operate in disbelief, disbelief of his existence, his ability, and his operations.  If he can get us to believe he is not real or that he cannot effect us, he has created the most opportune chance for him to attack.  If a kingdom knocks down its walls because they feel the enemy is not a threat, the attack will be much easier for him, he can come in and wreck havoc because we are no longer protected.  The enemy wants us to let our guard down.  Discord & Disbelief  are tools used to destroy but in such a subtle fashion.  They creep in slowly and attack with much force, destroying many lives in the process.  We need to be united & operate in faith, Faith in God, faith in God’s Promises, His Word, in His Blessings.  Faith activates God to move and to step in on our behalf. We need to stand together and activate God to move.  The choice is ours.  Please do not be deceived.  We must walk in unity and not have discord in our hearts.

Blessings

Great read Marcus! You are so right about the subtlety of our adversary but thanks be to God that if we stay connected to the Lord and allow His thoughts and ways to become our thoughts and ways, disbelief won’t stand a chance when it tries to enter and discord won’t be found among us because we’ll recognize it before it gets here. Great and timely word! Continue blessing us with your God-given wisdom!
