Who Are You?

The enemy (Satan and his cohort) have done a tremendous job at blinding the minds of people. So many people do not know who they are nor the power that resides inside of them (those who have accepted Christ), The word says that the enemy roams around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). The key word is “may”. The Lord also says, “I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy and nothing by any  means shall harm you” (Luke 10:19). What a profound statement! As believers, we are seated in Heavenly places with Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:6); therefore, the enemy is under our feet. So why are so many people confused about who they are or their rightful position? Great question, I am glad you asked. The enemy knows that you are stronger than him, have more power than him, and even have authority through Jesus Christ over him. Unfortunately, if he can get you to view yourself as nothing, nobody, less than dirt, that you are someone that deserves to be trampled on because you have not met the mark or have not accomplished what you set out to do or have not lived up to the expectations of others (especially family), instead of the EAGLE that you truly are, then he can keep you from exercising your authority and entering into your rightful place.

Picture a police officer who has the authority to carry out the law or detain if need be, but if a person could possibly persuade him that even though he has a badge and carries a gun he is no more authority that a janitor. You would think he was crazy. One question would be: How do you not know what you can do? That is absurd. It is just as crazy with you. How do you not know what you could do? The Lord says, My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6). You are only overtaken by the enemy because you lack knowledge of your rightful place. (You would not expect a king to take orders from a peasant, neither should you.)

Do you not know that where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty (2 Corinthians 3:17)? If we take a closer look, the word says greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4); therefore, the Spirit of the Lord is in you and you bring forth liberty. You should be setting the captives free and liberating the sick. The Lord said, to him who believes these signs will follow, in My name they will cast out demons, they will lay hands on the sick and they shall recover…(Mark 16:17-18).

The enemy has a dangerous strategy, but if you know your place, he cannot dare touch you.
